the cacao beans used to make this chocolate bar come from the town of tupi on the southern tip of the philippines. the name originates from the word tufi, which was a vine chewed by the native blaan tribes who lived in the ancient forests of this region. later, settlers from luzon and visayas arrived and began to grow a large variety of flowers, vegetables and fruits, including cacao.
